Inventory, prices and renting periods
The differences between our campers is, amongst other things, the size, the amount of beds (2-5) and the type of beds. There are queen size beds, long beds and fold down beds.
All the campers of Holland Campers can be driven with a standard driver’s license type B.
You don’t have to think about anything apart from where you want to travel to.
Below you can find all the rental information about the Holland Campers.
Rental periods
At Holland Campers you are free to choose the start and end days. This means that you can leave or come back on any day of the week, whole year round. Now that is what we call freedom!
Are you looking for a motorhome for only one or two days? At Holland Campers you can also rent per day. Keep in mind that the costs are relatively higher for those one or two days. This is due to the start-up costs that come with renting a motorhome.
If you want to go on holiday for longer than 21 days, please contact us.
Prices
Our rental fees are calculated per day depending on the period, the length of your roadtrip, and the departure and return days. Besides this, the type of camper, naturally, plays a role. Because of this we do not have a price chart. To see the prices you can click on the button ‘make a reservation’ and see an overview of the availability, there you fill in the amount of people, the number of days and in which month you would like to start your holiday. This will directly show you the rental fees per departure day in an orange colour. After this you can still alter whether you would like to make use of the services offered by Holland Campers. Then the total price is calculated.
When no prices are visible this means there is no availability for this date. Choosing a shorter period will usually give you more available dates.
The prices include:
- Kitchen inventory and outdoor furniture
- A connected gas tank + a full gas tank (10kg)
- Toilet chemicals
- All campers have an All-risk insurance, including roadside assistance and repatriation
- 200km a day for free
- Cleaning of the in- and outside
Also keep in mind the extra costs such as:
- Fuel (diesel)
- Extra kilometres above the free 200 kilometres a day (€0,30/km)
- The necessary environmental stickers and/ or toll vignettes on highways
- The deductible in case of damage is €1.000. For €5,00 a day (with a minimum of €50) you can lower the deductible to €450,00 per incident.
Viewing and explanation
We always advise a viewing of the rental camper. Please inform when this is possible, because, especially in the high season, the campers are often on the road.
Before you leave we would like to explain to you how everything works and where everything is located. We have provided as much information as possible inside the campers. To give you an impression of what the campers look like on the inside and which devises are provided we have made videos that are available on YouTube. This can be very helpful, for example when you are on the road and you’re having trouble figuring out how something works.
Cleaning and other extra’s
- We expect you to return the camper tidied up and broom-clean.
- Per reservation we charge the following:
- Reservation, explanation and service costs €55,00
- Cleaning costs for the in and outside €125,00
Optional extras:
- Dog €3,00/day + extra cleaning €20,00
- Italian Best Coffee – 24 cups (coffee maker is provided) €7,50/bag
- Canal digital TV card to receive 29 channel €2,50/day
- Navigation with camper parking spots with settings to enter camper size €2,50/day
- Duvet + pillow and a set of linen €7,50 /set p.p.
- Lowered deductible from €1.000,00 to €450,00 for €5,00/day with a minimum of €50
- Washing the outside of your car €25,00
- Washing and cleaning the in and outside of your car €45,00
For the cancelling conditions we adopt the RECRON conditions.
Payment and security deposit
For potential damage, extra kilometres and other unforeseen costs we ask you a security deposit of €1.000,00. We would like to receive this together with the second instalment, four weeks before the departure date. Provided you have a credit card we can also reserve the security deposit on your credit card account. When no damage is done and no extra kilometres have been used we will deposit the money back within five working days after returning of the camper.

Pickup and return
You can pick up the camper from 8:00 hrs. and return the camper until 18:00 hrs., seven days a week. You can park your car securely on a closed off parking lot with us. You will receive a tag with which you can park your car the secured zone of VanVlietCaravans located on the Maasdijksweg in Wateringen. There you can transfer your luggage and leave behind your own car. Please leave the keys in an envelope in the safe. We will safely park your car inside. On the day of your return we will make sure your car is awaiting you, parked in the secured zone again. Upon request we will wash the outside and clean the inside while you are on holiday.
When picking up the camper between 8:00 hrs. and 17:00 hrs. we offer you a detailed explanation of the functioning of the camper. Keep in mind that picking up + the explanation will take approximately 45 minutes.
You will also receive a paper manual and on our YouTube channel we have demonstration videos available for you.
Before the departure we would like to talk you through the defects or shortcomings if present, and we fill out the pre-rental vehicle condition report. Together we will check whether the inventory is complete.
With picking up the camper please make sure:
- The in and outside are clean
- You have enough (cooking) gas for the entire journey
- The waste water tank(s) are empty
- The toilet tank is empty and clean
- The diesel tank is full
Returning the camper
You can return the camper until 18hrs. We will wash the camper first and then we’ll check it.
When returning we expect:
- The waste water tank is emptied
- The diesel tank is full
- The toilet tank is empty and clean
- The inside of the camper is broom clean
- Everything of the inventory is on its initial place
We will fill out the handover form and check if there is anything left that needs to be paid for or deducted from the security deposit.
Identification at Holland Campers
Holland Campers needs a copy of you ID card and your driver’s license. Our insurance requests to have a copy of the ID card or passport and driver’s license from all the drivers and lessees.
We understand that not everyone feels comfortable with sharing these documents with regards to identity fraud, however we do have to comply to our insurance requirements. We handle the provided documents with care and caution.
There are things you can do to prevent fraud with copies of you identity cards.
You can secure the copy of your identity card with the KopieID App. This app helps you to not share more information than strictly necessary. You can download the App in the Apple AppStore or in the Google PlayStore.
Also when you do not use the copy App you can make a secured copy of your identity card with the following tips:
- Make the citizen service number unreadable on the copy, also in the sequence on the bottom
- Write on the copy ‘this is a copy’
- Write on the copy ‘this copy is for Holland Campers’
- Write the date on the copy
Please do not cross out the driver’s license number, we need this to verify the validity of the document.
How many people in a Compact Motorhome or campervan?
This is a logical question, you’d think. We can try but, unfortunately, we cannot do magic. A Buscamper or Compact Camper is a smaller camper which you choose when you go on holiday with two, or a maximum of three people. After all, you do need some living space when it is not the best of weather outside. We do not call a camper for four people a Compact Camper anymore. Luckily we also have Crossover or integrated motorhomes in our assortment. We can recommend these strongly when you would like to go on holiday with four or five people.
We recommend a campervan or Compact Motorhome if you want to drive on small mountain roads, in small villages or in the city centre, but you also want to be able to reach the prettiest spots of the camping. A campervan or Compact Motorhome has a limited size, it’s not too wide and not too long, this makes it easy to reach almost every spot and it’s easily manoeuvred around a camping and into the parking spots. The best camping sites usually don’t have big camper spaces, so the chance of finding the best and most beautiful spot is a lot bigger with a small camper. Aside from that, driving to do some shopping, a trip to the museum or going to the beach is a lot easier and less stressful with a camper of this size.
